Will my Digi-Star indicator work with Avery Weigh Tronix weigh bars?

Yes, it will work. You will need to switch the red and green wires in the junction box and identify the correct calibration number on your indicator to make it work. Contact us to obtain the correct calibration for your application. Prior to contacting us please have ready the part number of the weigh bar you are connecting to, how many weigh bars you have, and what application it is on.

How do I get a setup and calibration number for my scale?

Contact us to obtain the proper setup and calibration number for your scale system. Prior to contacting us please have ready the part number of the weigh bar you are connecting to, how many weigh bars you have, and what application it is on.

My scale says +RANGE or –RANGE; why does it say this?

You have a problem with your scale system. It says +/- Range because there is either a problem with your indicator, wiring or load cells. You will need to fully troubleshoot your scale system to determine where the source of the problem is. See our troubleshooting guide or video for proper troubleshooting methods.

Is my Digi-Star indicator still under warranty?

Scale-Tec supports a 3-year manufacturers warranty on all Digi-Star indicators, regardless of whether you purchased the Digi-Star product from Scale-Tec or elsewhere. The indicator’s manufacturing date can be determined by locating the indent plate sticker near the base of the indicator. This will have the month and year the indicator was manufactured. We only cover manufacturer defects and do not cover abuse to the product under warranty.

Is my Digi-Star load cell still under warranty?

Scale-Tec supports a 3-year manufacturers warranty on all Digi-Star load cells, regardless of whether you purchased the Digi-Star product from Scale-Tec or elsewhere. To determine if your load cell is still under warranty, find the sticker located on the load cell that shows the serial number. The last four digits of the serial number identify the month and year the load cell was created. For example, if the serial number were XXXXX0215, your serial number would indicate manufacture in February 2015.

How do I refine the calibration on my indicator?

If your Digi-Star indicator is new enough (manufactured within the last 20 years) you should be able to refine the calibration on your indicator. Please refer to the calibration section within the support section on this website, and/or the calibration videos. Also, refer to the operator’s manual for your indicator, which is also located on this website in the manuals section.

If your indicator is older, which would include a Model 5, Model 10 or Model 20 indicator, you will not be able to refine the calibration. If you are switching the indicator from one piece of equipment to another, you will have to send in the indicator; it will be necessary to change electrical components on the PCB.
